Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) is the sudden death of an infant under the age of one year.

Studies and research have shown babies to be at the most risk for SIDS between 1 and 4 months of age and 90% of cases occur before the age of 6 months.

After 6-months of age, the risk of SIDS decreases greatly as babies are typically able to wake easily, lift their heads, roll over. Unfortunately a slight risk of 10% still exist for some babies to suffer from SIDS between 6 and 12 months of age.
